An Update from the Churchill County School District

Back to School Fall 2020

The first day of school in ChurchillCSD is on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.

Student Schedules/Teacher Assignments

Teacher assignments and schedules should be live in Infinite Campus now.

Please note, the District is still sorting through the submitted appeals. Some appeals that have been approved are not yet reflected in Infinite Campus—please give the schools and District a few days to work through the process of changing schedules to reflect approved appeals.

Staff is working tirelessly to get students all of the elements of their schedule correct. At this time we are not taking any new appeals or teacher requests at the Elementary Schools and Churchill County Middle School. We appreciate everyone’s support in this endeavor.

CCHS Students & Families: At this time, we are focusing on Term One (Periods 1 & 2). If you have any critical questions about Periods 1 or 2 (such as no classes assigned for one of those periods or if you have been placed in a class that you should not be taking), please contact the CCHS Counseling office.

Full-Time Remote Students (Churchill Online Learning Academy)

If you do not see a teacher or courses listed in Infinite Campus, please give the District a few more days to finish scheduling in the portal. In the meantime, remote teachers should be reaching out to you and your students.

Logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal

You will want to know how to log into Infinite Campus to receive more specific information regarding your student. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal is a web-based student management program that enables parents to view student information, such as demographic information, attendance, class schedule, report cards, and grades. Each household will have a portal account that will give access to all of the students residing in the household—families only need to register once for all students in their household.

If you already have access to the Parent Portal, you can log in with your previously set credentials. If you have set-up your account but do not remember your password, please click here and click on the “Forgot Password?” button to reset your password. If you have never accessed the Infinite Campus Parent Portal before, you should have received an additional email with instructions on how to do so.

If you are having any issues logging in, please contact your child’s school front office (including those who are participating in the full-time remote learning option):

● Churchill County High School: 775-423-2181

● Churchill County Middle School: 775-423-7701

● Numa Elementary School: 775-428-1996

● E.C. Best Elementary School: 775-423-3159

● Lahontan Elementary School: 775-423-1999

● Northside Early Learning Center: 775-423-3463

Please understand that we are making sure that all concerns from families will be addressed. Email or call your school for questions or concerns (please leave a message if you are unable to speak to someone). Continue to monitor your email as more information will be shared with families throughout this week.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
