The Fallon Chamber -- available for businesses and the community in time of need
The Fallon Chamber has put together a list of useful information for our local restaurants and coffee shops. This current situation is going to be rough on them, but together we can keep each other afloat - make sure you support these guys when you can, they've been supporting us for years... Lucy Carnahan, the Chamber director is also in the office at 85 N. Taylor Street, 423-2544 and available to help with a variety of resources. The Chamber is providing a public computer for those who may not have internet access or understand the many regulations associated with various programs.  Businesses or community members who need help with Small Business Administration distaster loan applications, filing for unemployement, US Census, or other questions can stop by for assistance. Lucy said you will have to wash your hands and keep six feet away from her, but under Governor Sisolak's direction, Chambers of Commerce are to stay open as a resource for local business. "We love our community and we want to help how ever we can," said Carnahan.

Comment author: Patti Cole Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories. The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
