After being shut out in its first two Northern 2A matches, the Battle Mountain High School used its first two goals of the year to erase a 2-0 deficit to Whittell and tie the Warriors 2-2, this past Saturday at Tim Knight Field in Battle Mountain.
Whittell led 2-0 after the first 40 minutes of play, when Battle Mountain cut the deficit in half in the 54th minute. The Longhorns tied the match six minutes later.
Battle Mountain travels to West Wendover on Friday and hosts the Wolverines on Saturday at noon.
