Coming off a pair of losses in their first two Northern 2A matches of the season, the Oasis Academy volleyball team will be back in action twice this weekend taking on Sierra Lutheran and Yerington.
On Aug. 26, the Bighorns lost to Lovelock 25-16, 25-17, 25-18. On Aug. 28, North Tahoe handed them a 25-16, 25-12, 25-13 loss.
Coach Jalana Bell said her team has improved since last season.
“We have a couple of adjustments we want to make this week, but overall, I’m really proud of the progress the team has made since last year,” Bell said. “The girls have been working hard, and we’re excited to get back in the gym this week to continue to build as a team and prepare for our upcoming matches against Yerington and Sierra Lutheran.”
The Bighorns are scheduled to play at Sierra Lutheran at 5 p.m. Friday and at Yerington at noon Saturday.
