As the calendar turns to September and the warmth of summer slowly begins to wind down, the Fallon Theatre is excited to welcome the new season with great movies and meaningful community connections! Fall is right around the corner, but our auditorium is still the perfect place to gather with family and enjoy the magic of the big screen. We have a wonderfully special movie lineup planned, combining a heartwarming family film with a meaningful local cause, plus a hilarious modern comedy favorite!

At 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, bring the whole family in for “A Dog’s Purpose” (2017)! Based on the beloved bestselling novel, this touching film explores the soul-stirring story of one devoted dog who discovers the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he loves. Rated PG, it runs 1 hour and 40 minutes.

This weekend’s 6 p.m. screenings will also serve as a special community fundraiser for Alex McBride, a local youth who is in need of a service dog. We invite our Fallon Theatre family to come out, enjoy the movie, and consider making a contribution to help Alex get his life-changing service companion! Donations will be accepted right here at the theater in cash or by scanning a QR code at our table that links directly to his GoFundMe page. Every bit helps, and we appreciate our community’s generosity in supporting Alex!

At 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights, get ready for plenty of laughs with the iconic comedy “Mean Girls” (2004)! Written by Tina Fey, this razor-sharp hit follows Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), a home-schooled teenager attending public high school for the first time. Cady quickly finds herself navigating the wildly competitive social hierarchy. This screening of “Mean Girls” is proudly sponsored by our great friends at the Churchill Community Coalition! We are so grateful for their ongoing partnership and shared commitment to supporting youth and families in our community. Rated PG-13, the film runs 1 hour and 37 minutes.

As we head into fall, cruise down memory lane on Saturday, Sept. 26, for our 10th Annual Show-N-Shine! We’re shutting down Maine Street starting at 9 a.m. for a morning of beautiful classic cars, good food, music, and community fun. Free for the public to attend, it’s the perfect family outing. Car owners can register a vehicle for $45 ($30 per additional entry), which includes a goody bag and raffle entry. Plus, this year marks the debut of our new “Best of Show” perpetual trophy, to be proudly displayed in the Fallon Theatre lobby! Special thanks to our generous sponsors, Cheek Construction and The Nugget, for making a decade of classic cars possible.

In October, step with us into the world of bugs with Flik and friends for a fully immersive, one-weekend-only 4D movie experience with “A Bug’s Life” on Oct. 2 and 3! This family-friendly event features a fully decorated theater, themed treats, and sensory special effects, with interactive 4D screenings on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. (evening doors open at 5 p.m.). Tickets are already halfway sold out, and since these 4D events always sell out completely, reserve your seats now on our website or Facebook page! Your $5 reservation fee goes directly toward restoring our historic front facade. Prefer the traditional movie? Standard screenings (no special effects or reservations required) run Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

In November, gear up for a night of pure laughter on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. as clean, family-friendly stand-up comedy returns to the Fallon Theatre! We are thrilled to welcome Nashville-based comedian Lee Hardin (DryBar Comedy, The Mike Huckabee Show) back to our stage for an evening of warm, relatable humor the whole family can enjoy. Tickets are $20, but you can snag an Early Bird Discount of $5 off until Sept. 1, or grab a Double Date Discount to get four tickets for the price of two! Grab your seats early and join us for a great night out right here in your favorite historic theater.
