Horizons Financial Credit Union, the Fallon Chamber of Commerce, and America250 are teaming up to honor local heroes with an American Hero 5K run or walk Sept. 12, 2026, beginning at 9 a.m.
The race will begin and end at Venturacci Gym, 321 Venturacci Lane in Fallon. Preregistration by Sept. 9 is recommended and saves participants $5 on the entry fee. Each participant must sign a waiver before the race.
The event honors military personnel, first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, veterans, and fallen heroes. Fallon Search and Rescue will assist runners at major intersections.
The event offers a fun way to recognize those who do so much for the community and the nation. Prizes will be awarded to participants.
