First-Day Smiles at E.C. Best

Students at E.C. Best Elementary School began the 2026-27 school year Monday, Aug. 24, with tours of the school, class photos and a chance to burn off some first-day energy at recess. At top, third-grade teacher Angie Heck poses with her class for a first-day photo. Below, second-grade teacher Marla Wood takes her class on a tour, and students play on the school playground. Principal Brad Barton welcomed students and staff back for the first day of classes.
