Another signal that summer is coming to an end is the annual All‑School Reunion for Churchill County High School, held August 14–16 in Fallon, Nevada. All alumni of any year are welcome to attend all the festivities throughout Fallon. City Hall was open for members to chat with Mayor Tedford, the Fire Department gave tours, and the classic car clubs had their vehicles at the Oats Park School on display. Fallon Theatre was open for tours and showed movies on Friday and Saturday nights.
The class of 1971 held its reunion at The Old Post Office on the evening of Friday, August 14. Members of the reunion committee all worked together to create an enjoyable event for the entire class. Richard Allegre provided the tri-tip for the barbecue, which Lynn Pearce cooked, and all committee members pitched in wherever help was needed.
Suzette Broyles Hughes mentioned the class told stories of their experiences of their high school years. Members of the class would take turns telling their own stories of their antics. She said, “Hearing classmates talk about their high school memories was met with laughter and a few tears.” Fallon Mayor Kenneth Tedford was also in the graduating class of 1971. Revel and Roam provided the bar for the festivities of the reunion.
Saturday night at the end of the evening, fireworks were set off to celebrate another great year of commemorating all members of Churchill County High School graduates. These activities brought all alumni together to enjoy visiting with former classmates of all years.
