The Rafter 3C Complex in Churchill County is offering covered stalls for horses and dry camping facilities for those evacuated by fires in nearby counties.
As of press time, Hunter Giovanetti said they had received about five horses and about seven cows. She said she has had several phone calls but thinks the distance is a factor for evacuees.
Stalls and dry camping facilities are located on Miners Road, off Sheckler Road, at Churchill County’s 3C Event Complex in Fallon. Water is available, but evacuees must provide their own livestock feed and water containers.
There is no charge for anyone coming from an evacuated area. Those taking advantage of this offer are asked to clean up after themselves and their animals when they depart.
