Fallon Community Day returns Saturday, Aug. 8, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., or while supplies last, at the Rafter 3C Arena. The annual event provides free backpacks, school supplies, clothing vouchers, and other resources to Churchill County students and their families.
Children must attend with a parent or guardian to receive supplies. Back-to-school vaccinations, a free barbecue lunch, and visits with local first responders also will be available.
New Frontier Treatment Center will provide the barbecue lunch for attendees, and the Central Nevada Health District will host a booth offering back-to-school vaccinations. Each child also will receive a clothing voucher redeemable at Blue Sky Thrift Store for school clothing.
