Visalia Blue defeated Elk Grove to win the Cal Ripken 11U Pacific Southwest Regional championship Saturday in Fallon, earning a berth in the Cal Ripken 11U World Series in Crown Point, Indiana.

The regional tournament was held July 13-18 at Oats Park and featured 10 teams representing Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Northern California, Central California, and Southern California. Teams competed in pool play before advancing to a single-elimination championship bracket.

Fallon hosted the Pacific Southwest Regional for the fifth consecutive year, welcoming hundreds of players and their families to the community during the weeklong tournament.

The event brings visitors to local hotels, restaurants, and businesses while showcasing Fallon's baseball facilities and the volunteers who make the tournament possible. Admission to all games was free, drawing local fans throughout the week.

Visalia Blue will represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the Cal Ripken 11U World Series, scheduled for Aug. 6-15 in Crown Point, Indiana.
