Fallon Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lucy Carnahan hosted a ribbon cutting July 11 for Ty’s Let’m Buck Rodeo Co., an organization created in memory of Tyler Crystal, who died Sept. 27, 2025, in Mineral County.
A memorial rodeo honoring Crystal will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Nevada State Fairgrounds outdoor arena.
Shawn and Victoria Crystal, along with their children Colt, Jesse and Maverick, established the organization to help young rough-stock competitors participate in rodeo as safely as possible.
Tyler always wore safety equipment when competing, the family said. In his honor, Ty’s Let’m Buck Rodeo Co. works to provide young riders with safety gear and, when possible, assistance with travel expenses and entry fees.
The organization’s mission is to keep young competitors safe, encourage their dreams and ensure rodeo remains a place where young athletes are supported.
“We want to give them the opportunity to succeed,” Victoria said.
