Fallon Theatre Movies & More

Hey Fallon! Grab your sunhats and shades, because summer is officially blazing and the Fallon Theatre is ready to be your ultimate weekend hideout. Thank you so much to everyone who brings that unbelievable neighborhood energy into our historic theatre. As the June sun cranks up the heat outside, our auditorium is fully blasted with AC and ready to keep you cool. Looking for a way to beat the glare, keep the kids entertained, or just eat your weight in fresh popcorn? We've got you covered with an absolutely charming weekend.

First, coming right up on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m., we are thrilled to help kick off a fantastic local tradition as the De Golyer Bucking Horse and Bull Bash hitches up at the Fallon Theatre for a special free screening of the hilarious comedy classic “City Slickers” (1991), the story of three city friends facing their own wild western adventure. While the movie itself is completely free of charge, it is also the perfect opportunity to secure your spot for a weekend of family excitement, as any remaining tickets for the main rodeo event will be available for purchase in the lobby, cash only, while supplies last.

Then, at 6 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, we are unpacking our suitcases and diving into the delightfully sweet family adventure “Paddington” (2014). This heartwarming live‑action/CGI comedy follows a young, polite Peruvian bear who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and lonely at Paddington Station, he is kindly taken in by the Brown family, but trouble isn't far behind when a sinister museum taxidermist sets her sights on him. Rated PG, it runs 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Or, at 7 p.m. both nights, the romance and high‑society drama take center stage with the sweeping period masterpiece “Sense & Sensibility” (1995), proudly sponsored by the Churchill Arts Council. Starring Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, and Kate Winslet, this critically acclaimed adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel follows the Dashwood sisters as they navigate sudden financial ruin and the strict social rules of 18th‑century England. Facing the clash between passion and reason, they must learn to balance their hearts to find true happiness. Rated PG, it runs 2 hours and 16 minutes.

And with summer having fully arrived, we’re gearing up to celebrate in style next month with Ventura Highway – The Music of America taking to our stage on Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. for what promises to be a spectacular evening. This concert experience brings together the rich harmonies and beloved classics of the legendary band America, delivering a timeless sound that audiences love. It’s the perfect way to indulge in the sunny season, and with tickets at just $10, we can't wait to share these golden memories with all of you.

As always, we are incredibly proud to serve as your community hub for film and live performances. Be sure to visit our concession stand for fresh popcorn and your favorite treats to complete your free moviegoing experience. If you are interested in renting the theatre for a private event or seeing your name in lights on our marquee, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can call us at 775-423-6210 or email [email protected] for more details. We can’t wait to see you this weekend.
