The City of Fallon, Fallon Chamber of Commerce, and Churchill County Parks and Recreation will host this year’s Fourth of July parade, honoring America’s 250th anniversary and recognizing military service.
The parade theme is “Celebrating America 250 & Our Military,” and it begins at 10 a.m. on Taylor Street at the middle school. The route goes north on Taylor to A Street, east to Ada Street, south to Williams Avenue, east to Maine Street, and ends back at the middle school.
After the parade, the community is invited to Oats Park for additional festivities. The party in the park will include carnival games from 12 to 4 p.m., face painting, a free bounce house, 1,000 free hot dogs, and live entertainment. Free access to the pool and splash pad will also be available.
Live entertainment continues until 9 p.m., with Kimmi Bitter headlining. Also performing are Jimbo Scott & Yesterday’s Biscuits, Reno Silver Dollar Chorus Barbershop Quartets, Anabelle and the Desert Scrubs, Carson Street Ragtime Band, Stilt Walker Jodi Power, and The Kindred North.
