Community creativity took center stage this year as roughly 50 artists submitted designs for the 2026 Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair volunteer shirts.
Earlier this year, the Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair held a T-shirt contest, inviting artists to design volunteer shirts as part of the fair's 41st anniversary. Participants were encouraged to submit digital, painted, or hand-drawn artwork that incorporated several required elements, including the festival name, the year 2026, the word "volunteer," "Est. 1985," and a cantaloupe somewhere within the design.
After reviewing the submissions, Rob Stults was selected as the first-place winner. His patriotic design celebrates America's 250th anniversary while highlighting the festival's longstanding history in Fallon.
Rebecca Mills-Wadsworth and Natalia McCool also earned honorable mention recognition for thoughtful and creative designs.
