Nevada Paint Horse Club Hosts Two-Day Show in Fallon

Memorial Arena in Fallon.

The Nevada Paint Horse Club hosted a two-day horse show May 30-31 at the Tammy Lee Memorial Arena at the Rafter 3C Complex in Fallon.

Show managers Sharon Avery and Roy Bock kept the event moving throughout the weekend as competitors participated in a variety of classes.

Western performance classes were held Saturday, while halter and hunter jumper/English classes took place Sunday.

The Nevada Paint Horse Club regularly hosts shows in Fallon that bring together horse owners and riders from across the region to compete and showcase their horses.

The club's next scheduled show in Fallon is set for July 11-12, 2026.

The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses.
