Walter Lee Wardwell died peacefully at his home on May 18, 2026. He created a legacy of excellence, succeeding at everything he attempted. He was active in many extracurricular activities in high school and continued that drive throughout his life. He was an avid pilot, instructor, and mechanic, a cross-country runner, a devoted father figure to many, and an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Langston; his mother, Ruth Wardwell; his sons, Scott Wardwell, Anthony Laca, Kris Siewert, Alex Martin and Martin Ehlers; his daughters, Catherine Murray, Jacqueline Laca, Whitney Wardwell and Keta Siewert; his sisters, Rosemary Rials, Barbara Wardwell and Jeane O’Doan; and his brother, Richard Wardwell.
