April is the Month of the Military Child

Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford held a proclamation recognizing April as the Month of the Military Child as NAS Fallon personnel and students with active‑duty military parents dyed the Maine Street fountain purple on April 1, an early celebration leading into Purple Up! Day on April 15. The event also highlighted the district’s status as a Purple Star School District and honored the resilience of military‑connected youth, with officials encouraging the community to wear purple in support on Purple Up!
