Logos Students Learn about Compassion

Logos Students Learn about Compassion
Submitted by Pam Duarte, Headmaster -- Logos Christian Academy middle school students traveled to Carson City last Friday, September 6th, to experience an event called "Compassion Journey".   This event, sponsored by Compassion International connects visitors to some of the realities faced by children growing up in extreme poverty.  Students had an opportunity to step into a new culture, see life from a different perspective and participate in thought-provoking conversations during an audio-guided journey through a series of interactive exhibits. At the exhibit, the students learned about life in Kenya, which coincidentally, Logos had conducted a Flip Flops for Kenya Drive just weeks prior where they had sent over 100 flip flops to the Shadow of His Wings Academy in Kenya for orphans who don't have shoes. The students who wrote the compositions include Mason Storm, 7th grader, and Camryn Hook, 8th grader.

His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family. May you be comforted to know that I care and I pray you will be comforted by your memories of Frank. Sincerely,Comment publication date: 4/30/26, 11:51 AMComment source: Frank Robert Kroll
