The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming the newest member of its K9 Unit, K9 Jiggs, a 1½-year-old Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix who was recently brought to the department from the Czech Republic.
The addition of K9 Jiggs was made possible through a generous community donor, who was given the honor of choosing the dog’s name. Because of their personal ties to Jiggs, Nevada, the donor selected the name to reflect that meaningful connection. The Sheriff’s Office expressed deep gratitude not only to the donor but also to the Churchill County community for its ongoing support and contributions to the K9 program.
K9 Jiggs will soon begin training with her handler as the pair prepares to serve and protect residents across the county. The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to join them in welcoming Jiggs as she embarks on her new role in the community.
