Fallon Hornets Take Championship in “Diamond in the Rough” Tournament

The Fallon Hornets wasted no time making their mark, winning the Diamond in the Rough Championship on November 2 right here in Fallon.

In their very first tournament together, the Hornets showed grit, teamwork, and heart, taking down the Desert Diamonds in the final matchup to claim the top spot.

“Every game was incredible,” said Coach Blake Cooper, who leads the team alongside Corey Cooper and Bryce Hornby. “These boys worked so hard, and it paid off. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort they gave this weekend.”

The championship roster includes Preston Glenn, Pierce Cooper, Cole Northington, Coby Diehl, Bridgeport Villegas, Denton Faught, Easton Laca, Hunter Ames, Hunter Winder, Iain Hartzell, Jackson Whitaker, Johnny Wallace, Landin Lamprich, RJ Eresuelo, Rowdy Claggett, Tanner Hornby, and Thomas Cavanaugh.

The tournament brought together several talented teams, but the Hornets’ energy and hustle stood out. For a first outing, the win sets a promising tone for what’s sure to be an exciting season ahead.
