Join the Nevada Aging and Disability Service Division for a Conversation with Nevadans on Tuesday, September 17th at 1 o’clock p.m. at the William N. Pennington Life Center, 952 S. Maine Street.
As Nevada plans for the next State Plan for Aging Services, the ADSD invites community members to join them for a series of focus groups. The division is asking to hear directly from “older Nevadans, people with disabilities, and our family caregivers.”
The division is asking members of the community to share about what services are available in their communities, and their experience with caregiving. Additionally they will be presenting information about the expanded services now available in Adult Protective Services, changes to the Senior/Disability Prescription Assistance Program, and the upcoming Medicare Open Enrollment period.
Additional focus groups will be held in Reno at the Washoe County Senior Center, in Virginia City at the Storey County Senior Center, and Carson City at the Carson Senior Center.
Reservations are appreciated and can be made by calling or emailing Wendy Thornley, 775-687-0551, or [email protected].

Comment text: A little disappointed in the parade and fireworks. With it being America's 250th Birthday, there should have been some more history, as in pioneers walking behind wagons.....etc. And as for fireworks, should have been more spectacular, like seeing hearts, and smiling faces and an American flag all dine in fire works.
