Students Headed to Sacramento for Pitch, Hit and Run Championship

Five student athlete who competed in the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition in July are headed to California for vie for the championship. They were recognized for their efforts at the Sept. 17 Churchill County Commission meeting.

 

Students Madeilynne Woolsey, Axton Weik, Joel DelaCruz, Kolton Fitz-Patrick, and Kaleb Aguilar are advancing to the Pitch, Hit and Run Team Championship in West Sacramento on Oct. 4 on the Sutter Health Field. If these athletes score well at this competition, they could advance to the World Series. The July event was sponsored by the Fallon Elks Lodge.
