The City of Fallon will host its second annual Love Fallon community service day on Saturday, Sept. 13, bringing residents together for projects that beautify the city and strengthen connections among neighbors.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with a free pancake breakfast at Oats Park Pavilion. Volunteer projects kick off at 8:30 a.m.

Love Fallon is part of the national Love Our Cities nonprofit, which supports local service movements across the country. Fallon’s effort is fueled by donations from local businesses and residents.

Projects this year include a mural on the side of Momma’s Meat Co. on Maine Street, created with artist Steven Christie, as well as a cleanup at the historic Fallon Theatre. Volunteers can also help refresh the library’s meeting room and railing with paint, prepare and serve the pancake breakfast, or wash vehicles for local first responders.

Another project, 1,000 Hearts Sit & Stitch, invites participants to sew small kindness pocket hearts for those in need of encouragement. The activity is open to volunteers ages 10 and older, with no sewing experience required.

“Love Fallon is more than just a day of service; it’s a chance to strengthen bonds across our city while creating something lasting together,” said Ashley Laca, the city coordinator for Love Fallon. “Every act of kindness, big or small, contributes to the peace and prosperity of Fallon.”

Organizers said the event is open to people of all ages and abilities. Volunteer registration and project details are available online at lovefallon.org.
