Fire crews responded to a small brush fire behind the Fallon Convention Center on June 30. The fire took place just north of the railroad tracks in an area with overgrown brush and trees and was less than an acre in size. Crews responded within minutes and knocked the fire down. The source of the fire was possibly from a homeless camp but remains undetermined.
Churchill-Fallon Volunteer Fire Department responded with six vehicles and 17 personnel.
