ChurchillCSD provides students breakfast and lunch
The Churchill County School District offers breakfast and lunch every school day, served at all schools, with free breakfast for all elementary students Pre-K through grade 5.  The prices for 2019-20 school year are:
School Grades Breakfast Lunch
Elementary Schools Pre-K to 5th Free $2.85
Middle School 6th to 8th $2.00 $3.00
High School 9th to 12th $2.00 $3.25
Adults $2.50 $4.00
Your children may qualify for free meals based on your household size and income levels. An application for free meals will go home with every student on the first day of school.  A new application must be completed each school year if you believe your family qualifies.  Please fill out one application per family and return it as soon as possible to one of your child(ren)’s teacher(s).  The application is available in English or Spanish.  If you qualified last year, your status would remain in effect until October 1, 2019.  If a new application is not submitted or processed, parents/guardians will be responsible for paying all meal charges beginning October 2, 2019.  Your application can be completed online using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal! The District has an online payment system on the District’s Food Service webpage.  As parents/guardians, you can place money in your child’s account and track your child’s purchasing activity throughout the year.  Your child will access his/her account using his/her student ID number and can use it to purchase meals or ala carte items.  If you prefer to send money with your child, he/she may purchase their meal or add to his/her account, however, change cannot be given at elementary schools.  Students at the middle school and high school can purchase their lunch and receive change when they pay with cash.  All checks sent to any school will be added to the student’s account with no change given. We are proud to serve the students of Churchill County.  We encourage all parents/guardians to visit their child’s cafeteria and communicate with Food Service staff.  If you have any questions or concerns at any time throughout the school year, please contact us at 775-428-7230 or [email protected].

This is a reminder that we as citizens live in a representative form of government and why it is so important that we vote as voting is our way of making our voice heard. When we bought our land in Kingston, Sis regaled us with her stories of gatherings at the old restaurant & bar on the way to Groves lake. Sis often said, 'What happens in Kingston stays in Kingston!' Fun & funny lady. Comment publication date: 9/8/26, 5:58 PM Comment source: Marilyn J. “Sis” Banovich Comment author: Ruth Fiege Comment text: So sorry for the pain your family is suffering.
