Oasis Academy College Prep in Fallon, Nevada, will hold its high school graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the Barkley Theater inside the Oats Park Art Center, located at 151 E. Park St. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend.
Twenty-three students will graduate at the ceremony. Since its first graduating class in 2015, Oasis Academy has maintained a 100% graduation rate.
Nineteen of this year’s graduates will also earn associate degrees through Western Nevada College. These dual enrollment students will participate in WNC’s commencement ceremony earlier that day, at 10 a.m.—earning their college degrees before receiving their high school diplomas.
Oasis Academy is proud to offer one of the premier dual enrollment programs in the state. It is the only program of its kind in Nevada that admits all students without exception. With the program’s support, this year’s graduating class has been offered more than $1.2 million in scholarships.
Graduating seniors have been accepted to a wide range of colleges and universities, including Cal Poly, University of Nevada, Reno, Boise State, Montana State, University of St. Mary, Reed College, Willamette University, Whitman College, Lewis & Clark College, Colorado College, George Mason University, Grinnell College, Blackburn College, York University, West Texas A&M, Augustana College, Missouri Welding Academy, Great Basin College, Montana Western, Savannah College of Art and Design, Western Colorado University and Central Washington University.
