UPDATE: Amber Alert Issued for 10-Month Old, Mother and Child Located and Safe

Update: At approximately 1500 hours, Chelsea and the child were located by the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office and were both safe.  We would like to thank the community for their vigilance and for providing information, as well as the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.

An Amber Alert was issued in Northern Nevada regarding a 10-month-old child reportedly taken from Fallon by a non-custodial parent.

According to law enforcement, the child was taken around 8 a.m. by Chelsea Daniels. Authorities say Daniels is the child’s biological mother but does not have custodial rights. She is believed to be armed.

Daniels is suspected of fleeing the area in a black 2006 Ford Explorer with Nevada license plate 714S57. The child’s name and physical description have not yet been released.

Churchill County Sheriff, Richard Hickox, confirmed the abduction and activation of the Amber Alert shortly after the alert began circulating through state notification systems and local cell networks on Monday, March 31 around 2:15 p.m.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or suspects they may have information is urged to call 911 immediately. Do not approach the vehicle or suspect.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
