Santa to Have Festive Flyover of Fallon

The United States Navy has teamed up with Santa Claus and is pleased to announce his flyover of the city of Fallon, Nevada, on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Santa’s flyover will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time and will feature an MH-60S from the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) Search and Rescue at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, the Navy’s premier tactical aviation training facility.

“The city of Fallon is an integral part of our Navy family, and I am thrilled to support Santa’s request to conduct this flyover as a way to express our gratitude for the steadfast support of the local community,” said NAS Fallon Commanding Officer Captain Shane Tanner,

The flyover is planned to minimize disruptions to the community while maximizing visibility for residents and students. The Navy advises residents and businesses to anticipate brief increases in noise levels during the event. Safety remains the Navy’s top priority, and the flyover will be conducted in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

For the best viewing experience, residents are encouraged to look toward the skies over Fallon starting at 11:30 a.m. The aircraft will follow a pre-planned flight path over all local schools as he waves to the students., weather permitting. Times and updates or changes to the schedule will be shared via the NAS Fallon Facebook page and local media outlets.

From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITORComment author: Debra J RidenourComment text: So sorry for your loss.
