Thanks to a generous donation from Peek Brothers Construction, Veritas volunteers spent the last month preparing and laying sod for a new lawn.
“We cannot begin to express our gratitude and appreciation for the generous donation from Peek Brothers Construction and the Peek family,” says Headmaster Jill Rosario. “Our students will greatly benefit from having such a large space for play and classroom activities.”
Numerous parent volunteers have provided maintenance services such as fertilization, mowing, and additional lawn care. The school is holding a Veritas Giving Field Day today to kick off the Thanksgiving Break and act as the first day students are officially permitted on the lawn. Unite, the Veritas Parent Group, is planning and running the event.
