Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribal Election Results

The Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribal Election Committee posted its results last week, October 5. According to the committee posting, the incumbent Tribal Chairman, Cathi Tuni, led with 193 votes (61.46%) over Yvonne Mori’s 121 votes. 

In the Tribal Secretary race, Philip Johnson took the lead with 160 votes (50.47%), Juliana Dixon received 114 votes, and Lynette Fisherman received 43.

As for council board seats, Sandra Hicks led with 222 votes. Crystal Allen, at 149, won out over Jon Pishion (133) and Ramona K. Chasing Crow (78) for the second seat on the board.

According to the FPST Official Ballot Tally, the tribe lists 1,262 eligible voters. They received 30 of the 55 absentee ballots issued and 321 total votes. According to the tally, the 30% vote requirement for referendums, recalls, or constitutional amendments was not met.
