September 6 and 7

September is officially here. Summer at your locally owned and operated Fallon Theatre is winding down with two imaginative-fueled films to enjoy.

First up at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday is the 2024 release fantasy comedy “IF,” starring Ryan Reynolds. This film mixes live action with computer animation to tell the story of a young girl who has the ability to see the imaginary friends left behind by grown children. “IF” is rated PG and has a runtime of 1 hour and 44 minutes.

The 7 p.m. movie on Friday and Saturday is the 2016 fantasy adventure “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, this story follows Newt Scamander in 1926 as he rescues magical creatures and helps to save New York City from a mysterious destructive force. This film is rated PG-13 and has a runtime of 2 hours and 12 minutes.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2024 Show ‘N’ Shine on Saturday, September 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Maine Street will be open for walking traffic only for this superb display of great-looking vehicles.

His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family. May you be comforted to know that I care and I pray you will be comforted by your memories of Frank. Sincerely,Comment publication date: 4/30/26, 11:51 AMComment source: Frank Robert Kroll
