With the Annual Jim Regan Memorial Golf Tournament happening on September 21 at the Fallon Golf Course, organizers say now is the time for 4-person teams and sponsors to sign up.

Team registration for the 4-person scramble format is open, and sponsorships and donations are being accepted. Please go online to https://www.churchillcountynv.gov/136/Employee-Activities to sign up to play or become a sponsor, or contact Pam Moore at 775-412-1083 or 775-423-4092.

The tournament’s shotgun start kicks off on September 21 at 9 a.m., and entry includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch, contests, and snacks. Prizes are awarded for team scores, longest drive, and closest to the hole.

Online registration and fees are due September 5. You may also drop off the paper registration and your entry fees with Pam Moore in the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office, 155 N. Taylor Street, Suite 110, in Fallon, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make checks payable to “Churchill County Golf.”

The annual tournament, named after former County Commissioner Jim Regan, raises funds for the Jim Regan Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports academic scholarships for general county employees or their children. Funds raised from the golf tournament will be allocated to scholarships awarded in spring 2025.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
