Obituary - Frances Dempsey Barber

June 20, 1929 – August 7, 2024

On the evening of August 7, 2024, our loving mother, Frances Dempsey Barber, 95, passed away at her home in Fallon, Nevada.

She was a seamstress by trade and retired after 40 years from the same business. She loved making quilts and clothing for her grandchildren in her spare time.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Francis is survived by her daughters Debbie Hay and Nancy Carter, her grandchildren, Jonas Hartley, Sossity Nichols, Yara Tadlock, Richard Hay, Jarrid Hay, Kaitlyn Hollingworth and Nathan Carter, and great grandchildren: Colette Hartley and Isabelle Hartley.

Arrangements will be at Smith Family Funeral Home and will be held at a later date.

His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family. May you be comforted to know that I care and I pray you will be comforted by your memories of Frank. Sincerely,Comment publication date: 4/30/26, 11:51 AMComment source: Frank Robert Kroll
