Obituary - Wesley Keith Ridenour

August 15, 1985 - August 5, 2024

Wesley Keith Ridenour passed peacefully at his home on August 5, 2024. He was born August 15, 1985, in Reno, Nevada.
Wesley was my hero and my guiding star. This man lived 38 years longer than they said he would and fought every step of the way. I never once heard him complain. He met every day anew with humor and a smile. He loved his family, his friends, and his dogs, and his jeep, though not necessarily in that order. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed the ride. Wesley was extremely proud of his Canadian Heritage.

Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, nephew Kobe, and his father Gary C. Ridenour, M.D., and his godfather Donald Formentini.

Wesley is survived by his mother, Debra Ridenour, brothers Aaron Ridenour of Seattle and Sean (Marie) Ridenour of Fallon, godmother Lola Formentini, nephew Dylan Ridenour, niece Lanell Ridenour, great-niece Amory, great-nephew Karter, and numerous uncles, and aunts and cousins and best friend Dina Formentini. He will truly be missed by all his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, 2949 Austin Highway, Fallon, NV 89406.

C Comment author: Carl C. HagenComment text: What are MFNs and PBMs ?? ............................ From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITORComment author: Debra J RidenourComment text: So sorry for your loss.
