Melody Ann Kittle, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, in her Fallon, Nevada, home. She was born on July 27, 1947, to Ray and Mildred (Poteet) Alderman in Pasadena, CA.
Melody attended Montebello High School and graduated in 1965. She continued her education at East LA College, graduating in 1967 with her associate's degree in Bookkeeping.
While on a mission trip to the Philippines in 1967, Melody met David Kittle (USAF). They were married in 1968 and lived in Germany, Spain, and multiple US states before settling down in Moreno Valley, California.
They moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1993 where they became involved in the high school youth group at their church. They helped lead and mentor many young people through the year 2003. They moved to Nevada in 2005, where they became members of the National Pony Express Association, Nevada Division, and were part of the re-ride every year. She was very involved in her church in Fallon, NV, and helped David at church with their senior studies. She walked in her faith and shared it with everyone!
She is preceded in death by her son, Todd David Kittle (1992) and she leaves behind her husband David Kittle, daughter Erika Ann Castro, Son-in-law Shawn Castro, grandchildren Jeremiah David Niday, Tarah Niday, Kylee Raye Niday, Morgan Emma Niday, and great-grandchildren Rowynn Niday, Rhys Niday and Ren Niday.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Oasis Church, 1520 S. Maine Street, Fallon, NV. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home
