Obituary -- Sydney Lynn Bates
Sydney Lynn Bates passed away peacefully at age 70 on June 9th 2019.  She was surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren and family during her last few weeks.  She was a devoted wife, loving mom and a caring grandmother.  She was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Fallon, NV in 1990.  She lived there for 22 years until she moved to Sparks, NV to be closer to her grandchildren.  Anyone who knew Sydney would say she had the kindest heart, never complained, never spoke ill about others, and was always willing to help anyone.  Many family and friends loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bobby Bates, her stepdaughter Gloria Morrison, her mother Elizabeth Lydia Coker and father Samuel Jackson Coker. She is survived by her daughters, Shawna (Shawn) Hanneman, Shonee Seilder (James Swenson), Grandchildren, Shyla Seidler (13), Brett Seidler (9), Bronson Hanneman (6), Ember Hanneman (4), and Melayla Swenson (2).  Her step kids, Vernell Monsour, Robert (Diana) Bates, Mary (Bryan) Norman, and Becky Conway as well as the 16 grandchildren and the 30 plus great grandchildren, her two sister in laws Shirley Bates and Doris Crawford, and many cousins and other family members.
