City of Fallon Animal Shelter Report - June 14 to 21

Check out what's happening at the Animal Shelter.
City of Fallon Animal Shelter Report - June 14 to 21

For the week of June 14 to 21, thirteen stray dogs and five cats have been dropped off, with eight of the dogs being claimed by their person.

  • Eight dogs and five cats were surrendered for adoption.
  • Five dogs and three cats were adopted.

Despite the successful adoptions, there are still thirteen dogs and five cats eagerly waiting for their new families. Your adoption can make a difference in their lives.

Many thanks to the Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS) for pulling animals from the shelter and the Fallon Animal Welfare Group (FAWG) for helping with the cats. Anyone looking for a barn cat should contact FAWG.

The Animal Shelter is located at 1255 Airport Road and can be contacted at 777-423-2282.

CAPS is located at 5895 Pasture Road and can be contacted at 775-423-7500.

Comment author: Patti Cole Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories. The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
