Movies & More - New Year's with Barbie

Your Community-Owned & Operated Fallon Theatre

We want to say thank you to last week's movie sponsor - Sierra Financial. We appreciate all your support.

We are getting ready for the New Year with Barbie. Join us this Friday, December 29, and Saturday, December 30, for two great Barbie movies.

Both evenings, starting at 6 p.m., our first feature is the 2006 animated family movie “Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses.” The widowed King Randolph enlists the help of his strict cousin to teach his daughters proper royal etiquette. Instead, she bans all dancing in the palace. Can the twelve dancing princesses save the kingdom with their late mother's gift? Voices provided by Kelly Sheridan, Catherine O'Hara, and Nicole Oliver.

Our second feature each evening, starting at 7 p.m. is the 2023 fantasy comedy “Barbie.” Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans. Starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, and Will Ferrell.

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. And a big thank you to all our sustaining members, sponsors, and volunteers - couldn't do it without you.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
