Obituary - Donald "Don" Allen Wolf

Donald Allen Wolf "Don", age 73, of Fallon, Nevada, passed away on December 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 26, 1950, to Ted and Hertha Wolf in Ashley, North Dakota.  He and his younger sister were raised on a farm near Fredonia, North Dakota. His love for all things farming stayed with him through the duration of his life. Don was a hard worker, honest, loving and fiercely loyal.

Don attended Ashley Public School for his high school education. He also served in the National Guard where he displayed his dedication and commitment to his country.

He raised 5 boys, Jason, Brian, Al, Josh and Keith with his previous wife Judy Wolf.

Throughout his career, Don worked as a crane and heavy equipment operator. He was known for his expertise in his field.

In his free time, Don enjoyed traveling the country, making new best friends as well as spending quality time with his loved ones. His personality was infectious, If he didn't win you over singing karaoke, He was sure to make you laugh with one of his many jokes. He showed amazing ingenuity in his ability to build anything. Once he got an idea in his head it wasn't a matter of "if" it could be done, his focus was "how" it was going to get done. He personified his motto "Gotta Wanna".

Don is survived by his significant other, Fern Haugen, and his sons Brian Wolf (Katie), Donald Allen Jr Wolf, and Joshua Michael Wolf (Christine). He was also a proud grandfather to Ashley Wolf, Anthony Peterson, Damian Taylor, Heidi Lemke, Travis Wolf, Brenden Wolf, and Kylie Wolf. Don is also survived by his sister Eileen Goehring (Floyd).

He was preceded in death by his sons Jason Allen Wolf and Keith Joseph Wolf.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
