Obituary - Jeannie Nalls

Jeannie Nalls will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Obituary - Jeannie Nalls

In loving memory of Jeannie Nalls.

Jeannie Nalls, beloved wife, mother and stepmother, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Nalls. She is survived by her two devoted children, Kenny Dennison and Leslie Ratliff, as well as her cherished stepchildren, Cherry Neumann, Lester Nalls Jr. and Tammy Brockman. Jeannie leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.

A passionate equestrian, Jeannie was an avid horse rider who found joy and solace in the company of these magnificent animals. Her love for horses was undoubtedly influenced by her father, Al Hooper, a world team roper in 1961, whose legacy she carried forward with pride.

In addition to her children and stepchildren, Jeannie is remembered fondly by her three grandchildren, who were a constant source of happiness in her life. Her nurturing spirit and love for family created a strong bond that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

As we bid farewell to Jeannie, let us remember the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the indomitable spirit that touched the hearts of everyone around her. May she find eternal peace in the vast meadows where she can ride freely with the horses, she so adored. Jeannie Nalls will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Jeannie will be truly missed. She was a Godly woman who knew the importance of having a personal relationship with her Savior. She was also feisty, but in her feistiness she always showed a good heart. Even though we grieve her passing we can take comfort in knowing she is home with our Lord.

Comment author: Patti Cole Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories. The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
