Francis Michael “Mike” McFadden passed away on November 27, 2023, in Fallon, NV at the age of 64. Mike was born on June 14, 1959, to John Sr. and Lorraine McFadden of Baltimore, Maryland.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph McFadden. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Holly McFadden; son, Jonathon (Allegra) McFadden; stepsons, Marc and Dan Emerson; grandchildren, Patrick, Avalon, Hudson, Kaylien, Thomas, Luke, and Quinn; brother, John (Marilynn) McFadden; and nephew, Sean.
After graduating high school, Mike joined the Navy in 1980 and proudly served until his enlistment ended in 1985. Mike was first stationed in Oak Harbor, then went on to serve at WESTPAC on the USS Midway, and lastly at Guam Naval Base. From there, Mike went on to work for three decades at NAS Fallon as an AME (Aviation Structural Mechanic). He also worked as a quality assurance representative and manager for multiple contract companies. Mike additionally worked on several aircraft, such as the F18, A6, F14, and the F15.
In addition to his professional life, Mike enjoyed watching his Ravens play football on Sundays and was always ready to watch a classic western with Holly. From hunting/fishing to playing poker, horseshoes, or pool, Mike wanted it to be with people he loved to create those lasting memories. He lived happily in Fallon with Holly until his death.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday, December 4th, at 2 p.m. at Churchill County Cemetery located at 500 Rio Vista Rd in Fallon, NV 89406. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Fallon at 90 N Ada St. following the graveside service.
