Logos Christian Academy announced this week the hiring of Jennifer Thomas as Headmaster. Thomas has worked in support of Logos students over the past years and is expected to be a valuable addition to the Logo’s school family. Her qualifications include a Behavior Analysis Certification from the Florida Institute of Technology, a Master of Education Degree from City University of Seattle, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Western Governor’s University. She is also a Nevada Licensed Behavior Analyst and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

According to Logos board member Bill Slentz, the progress continues in setting up the modular buildings. “Modular #3 is now ready for occupancy, Modular #2 is expected to be ready shortly, and the triple-wide modular should be ready for occupancy this week,” said Slentz. Two more modulars are in transit and will be set up as soon as they are delivered.

Rodney Williams and the Springs of Redemption men continue their tireless efforts in helping set up and prepare the modulars for teachers and students. "The Logos Board has also been working hard, helping to move and set up the entire school in one summer.," said Slentz, "This could not have been done if God had not put together just the right people with just the right talents at just the right time to make it all happen.”

The combined effort of Logos parents, staff, and supporters is paying off, according to Slentz, who acknowledged Logos’ parent volunteer organization UPLIFT, who has also been busy putting their time and skills to work hard wherever needed. He also reported that Valarie Wallace has been stocking the library, and Andy Fisher has begun trenching and installing the electrical and data conduits to all the mods.

Overall, the progress has been impressive, and things are on schedule for school to start on September 5.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
