NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - Ordinance 32

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held in the Churchill County Administrative Complex, 155 North Taylor Street, County Commission Chambers, Fallon, Nevada, at approximately 8:15 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, on the proposed Ordinance:

Bill 2023-A Ordinance 32 - TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF TITLE 16 CONSOLIDATED DEVELOPMENT CODE OF THE CHURCHILL COUNTY CODE 

SUMMARY: THIS ORDINANCE AMENDS PROVISIONS OF TITLE 16 CONCERNING THE CONSOLIDATED DEVELOPMENT CODE.  IT AMENDS THE USE TABLE FOR ZONING DISTRICTS TO CLARIFY THE ZONES IN WHICH CERTAIN VEHICLES AND VEHICLE ACCESSORIES MAY BE SOLD. IT FURTHER UPDATES THE DEFINITION OF SMALL AND LARGE VEHICLES INTO STANDARD AND NON-STANDARD VEHICLES.  IT FURTHER UPDATES THE DEFINITION OF SMALL AND LARGE VEHICLE EQUIPMENT INTO STANDARD AND NON-STANDARD EQUIPMENT AND TRAILERS.

If you cannot attend the meeting, written comments may be submitted to the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office, 155 N Taylor St, Suite 110, Fallon, NV 89406, before 4:00 p.m. on August 2, 2023. A copy of the Bill is on file and available for public inspection at the Churchill County Public Works, Planning & Zoning Department. A scanned copy of the Bill will be posted on July 28, 2023 with the Agenda Packet on the county’s website at https://www.churchillcountynv.gov/1081/Agendas-Minutes.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing.
