Playing Friday, June 30, and Saturday, July 1, at 6 p.m. is the 2019 animated adventure comedy "Abominable." After discovering a Yeti on the roof of their apartment building, teenager Yi and her two friends embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family. But to do so, they must stay one step ahead of a wealthy financier and a determined zoologist who want to capture the beast for their own gain. Chloe Bennet, Albert Tsai, and Sarah Paulson provide the voices.

Our second feature each evening, starting at 7 p.m. is the 2011 animated adventure comedy "Puss in Boots." Long before meeting Shrek, Puss in Boots who was just named a hero for saving a woman from a charging bull is run out of town on suspicion of bank robbery, even though the real villain is Puss' friend, Humpty Dumpty. Though there is animosity between them, Puss and Humpty reunite to steal a goose that lays golden eggs. Joining them for the adventure of nine lifetimes is the notorious cat burglar, Kitty Softpaws. Voiced by Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Bob Thornton.

After enjoying this year's 4th of July parade and all the other activities on Maine Street join us at 1 p.m. for "Independence Day" and at 1:30 p.m. for John Wayne on the big screen in "McLintock."

C Comment author: Carl C. HagenComment text: What are MFNs and PBMs ?? ............................ From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITORComment author: Debra J RidenourComment text: So sorry for your loss.
