When There are Marines in the Desert, Fallon Feeds Them

This weekend both the Sons of the American Legion Post 16 on Saturday, and the Fallon Elks Lodge #2239, on Father's Day, made the haul out to Dixie Valley today and gathered for lunch with 90 U.S. Marines who have been there on location training for the past two weeks. When members heard there were no showers and the troops had been eating only MREs, in typical Fallon fashion, "We felt it was our duty to honor a request from USMC Headquarters, so we provided a Prime Rib lunch with all the fixin's. Second and third helpings, too," said one member of the Elks.
