Movies & More

Starting Wednesday, June 21, we will be showing, at 6:30 p.m., the 1994 romance drama “8 Seconds.” This movie chronicles the life of Lane Frost, 1987 PRCA Bull Riding Champion, his marriage, and his friendships with Tuff Hedeman (three-time World Champion) and Cody Lambert. It stars Luke Perry, Stephen Baldwin, and Cynthia Geary. This film is sponsored by and in conjunction with de Golyer Bucking Horse & Bull Bash which will be held June 24 at the Rafter 3C Arena.

Join us Thursday, June 22 as we are excited to welcome back to our stage Luke and Kaylee. The country music duo is based in Nashville and has a magical chemistry as songwriters and performers. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7. For tickets, visit lukeandkayleemusic.com.

We have two terrific movies playing this weekend. Playing Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, at 6 p.m. the 2020 animated comedy adventure is “Trolls World Tour.”  When the Queen of the Hard Rock Trolls tries to take over the Troll kingdoms, Queen Poppy and her friends try different ways to save all the Trolls. Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Rachel Bloom, and James Corden provide the voices.

Our second feature each evening, starting at 7 p.m., is the 2020 animated adventure comedy “The Croods: A New Age.” Searching for a safer habitat, the prehistoric Crood family discovers an idyllic, walled-in paradise that meets all of its needs. Unfortunately, they must also learn to live with the Bettermans - a family that's a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder. Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, and Cloris Leachman provide the voices.

Thank you to our Sustaining Members for helping us make all this possible. All movies are free!

C Comment author: Carl C. HagenComment text: What are MFNs and PBMs ?? ............................ From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITORComment author: Debra J RidenourComment text: So sorry for your loss.
