We have been very lucky to be able to award these deserving students some help with their fees, books, room and board, and other related college expenses. The BCCHA Scholarship Committee felt that out of the 24 applications received, 14 students deserved an award. They are pursuing careers in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Psychology, ER Doctor, Dental Hygienist, Radiologist Technician, Biotechnology Research, and Pharmacy.

Former recipients have become nurses, others are on their journey to become nurses, doctors, bioengineers, scientists, researchers, and many more medical disciplines.

We have had terrific community support from folks shopping in our stores and willing to round up their purchases at both Rainbow Treasures and Stuf n' Such stores while checking out, sending in memorial donations on loved ones’ birthdays, supporting our bake sales, raffle baskets, and the list goes on, all the way around our building to the back of Stuf N' Such where we accept generous donations from our local Fallonites. It is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Lastly, we need to give a big shout-out to Mr. Barney Haden who has sent in Memorial Donations for the last four years in honor of his cherished wife, Mae. She was a dedicated schoolteacher in Fallon for 30+ years and a beloved member of the auxiliary until her death. So, in her memory, we award scholarships to graduating high school students.
And as I told a fellow auxiliary member recently, the next time you are at the hospital by yourself or with a loved one meeting with a nurse, getting an x-ray, or having labs done, remember that the person who is helping you now was possibly helped by you first.

With Much Gratitude, The BCCHA Scholarship Committee.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
