Shirley Jean Bailey, a long-time resident of Fallon, passed away on May 7, 2023.
Shirley was born October 12, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred and Augusta Anderson.
The family moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1945. Shirley went to Minneapolis General Hospital School of Nursing. She moved to South Rim, Grand Canyon, Arizona where she was a night nurse at the local hospital.
Shirley met J.B. Bailey, Jr, and after a short time, they married and moved to Fallon, Nevada where Shirley became a visiting nurse.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Donald Robert.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel and Richard, and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
