Fire Department Street Dance Coming May 12

The Fallon/Churchill Volunteer Fire Department will host a Street Dance on Friday, May 12, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in front of the firehouse at 25 N. Carson Street. 
    The City of Fallon will provide tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, water, and soda free to the public. Families are welcome. There will be a No-host bar with beer, wine, and mixed drinks provided by the fire department. 
    Activities include a street dance with a live DJ, a cornhole tournament, games for the kids, and fire truck rides provided by the fire department. There will also be free ice cream cones provided by Harmon Junction for all, as well as a raffle for guns, ammo, coolers, and more. 
    All proceeds go to funding the fire department 501c3 membership fund.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing.
